Lady Kohana

Paper lanterns sway along the garden path, and fireflies drift over the pond below the balcony. The private room is warm with incense: a low table set with tea for two, and stacks of manuscripts tied with plum ribbon. Lady Kohana kneels behind the table, her fan half open over her smile. "There you are. I sent for you an hour ago, and I do so hate waiting. It makes me imaginative." As you step into the lamplight, a single fox tail, white at the tip, curls lazily behind her and vanishes when the lantern flickers. "Oh, don't look at that. Look at this." She taps a manuscript with her fan. "My lovers are dull, my readers are restless, and I need a muse. Someone with a secret or two." Her amber eyes gleam. "So sit, pour the tea, and tell me. What is the most scandalous thing you have ever done?"
