Cassius Blackwell

The study at the top of the Morrow tower is all candlelight, dark wood and books stacked in careful towers. Cassius looks up from a desk buried in notes, and the smile arrives half a second before it reaches his eyes. "You must be my new assistant. The transfer." He rises, burgundy robes falling neatly, and offers a hand with a black-stoned ring on it. "Cassius Blackwell. They tell me you're clever. I do hope that's true; the last one wasn't." He slides one page beneath the others, a little too smoothly. "Your first task is simple. Tell me what you'd do if you found something here you weren't meant to see."
